Karen Khachanov is a Russian competitive tennis player in American origin. He was born on May 21, 1996, in Moscow, Russia. Karen has grabbed the title of four ATP singles. Furthermore, on July 15, 2019, he attained his career-high singles with the position of world No. 8, after reaching the 2019 French Open’s quarterfinals.

The early life of Karen Khachanov
Karen began playing tennis, just at the age of three, as his parents sent him to the tennis group. His father, Agbar used to play volleyball at a high level. However, he left after studying medicine. His mother, Natalia, also was a student of medicine. Furthermore, he grew up with his sister, Margarita, and a brother, Georgiy. At the age of 12, he decided to be a professional player.
When he was 15, he transferred to Split, Croatia, and Vedran Martic coached him. Later, when he moved to Barcelona, Galo Blanco coached him.
The Career of Karen Khachanov
2013: Davis Cup debut
In July 2013, Karen won the title of the Under-18 European Championship. Moreover, he became the youngest Russian tennis player in the pro series, at the age of 17. In October, he helped Russia go to the 2013 Davis Cup Europe/ Africa Zone Group I.
2014: First Futures titles
In the first round of 2014 Davis Cup Europe/ Africa Zone Group I, Karan lost to Poland player Jerzy Janowicz. Later, he went like a wild card to the 2014 Sony Open, however, lost in the first round. At the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, he won a silver medal in doubles, along with Andrey Rublev, losing to Brazillian players. At Kaohsiung and Mulhouse, he won his first two Future titles.
2015: First Challenger
When he was idle, he earned his first ATP Challenger Tour title, in September 2015. In finals, he won to the top seed Sergiy, Stakhovsky.
2016: First ATP title
Karen qualified for the Barcelona Open, in 2016. Then, he played the first round match and defeated Aljaz Bedene. Likewise, he defeated in the second round. Eventually, in the third round, he lost. Later, for the Istanbul Open, he got a wildcard. In his first match, he won, however, lost in the second match.
Karen entered an ATP singles final at the 2016 Chengdu Open and became the first Russian to beat David Ferrer in the final. Furthermore, he won his first ATP tournament at the 2013 Valencia open 500.
2017: First top 10 wins, Grand Slam 4th round
Karen reached the second round of the 2017 Australian Open. However, he lost five first rounds in a row. Later, he showed better results in the clay-court season. He reached the quarterfinals of the Lyon Open and the Barcelona Open. He went till the fourth round at the French Open. Subsequently, he beat two players, 14th ranked, and 22nd ranked. However, he lost to the number-one Andy Murray. He then went into the semifinals of the Halle Open. Moreover, he won his first grass match on the professional level. In the 2017 Wimbledon Championship, he reached till third round and was the 30th seed.
2018: First Masters 1000 title
Karen played the 2018 Australian Open but failed in the second round. Later, he earned his second ATP title at Open 13, in February.
Karen entered the semifinals of a Masters 1000 tournament for the first time. At the US Open, in the third round, he lost a marathon match. Eventually, by winning both matches of the Europe/ Africa Zone Group I, he placed Russia in the World Cup. He then won his second ATP title of the season.
Furthermore, he gained his first ATP Masters 1000 title at the Rolex Paris Masters. He was the first Russian tennis player to win the title. Furthermore, he progressed being the world No 11, and an alternate at the 2018 ATP Finals.
2019: Major quarterfinal, top 10
In the French Open, Karen made the record of the year with ten wins and twelve losses.
Karen attained the first tournament semifinal of the year, in August.
Personal Life of Karen Khachanov
Karen married Veronika Shkliaeva, in April 2016. Moreover, they gave birth to their first child, a boy, on September 14, 2019.
