TIM MINCHIN

Timothy David Minchin or Tim Minchin was born on the 7th of October, 1975 in Northampton, England to Australian parents. He is an Australian comedian, writer, actor, lyricist, musician, composer, and director.

Minchin is best known for his musical comedy and has a total of six CDs, five DVDs, and internationally performed live comedy shows. He also has made appearances on various Australian, British and English television shows. His first public show was “Darkside” and achieved critical success at the 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the 2005 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Minchin also of a theatrical background and has appeared in various stage productions and also some minor acting roles in Australian television.

The University of Western Australia awarded Minchin an honorary Doctor of Letters degree in 2013 for his contribution to the arts. He was awarded a second honorary Doctor of Letters degree from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2015.

Tim Minchin: Back (2019)

Minchin announced he would be returning to touring his musical comedy on the 30th of  August, 2018 in a new tour which is titled BACK.  The tour started in April of 2019 in Adelaide, while touring Australia and New Zealand. This tour is then followed by a tour of the UK in October and November of 2019.
