Club America
Club America is known as Club de Futbol S.A. de C.V., or sometimes simply known as America. It is a professional football club that is based in Mexico. The club also competes with the top tier of Mexican football, Liga MX, nicknamed as Las Aguilas. It was founded in 1916, has been owned by a media company Grupo Televisa since 1959. The club also plays its home game in the largest stadium in Mexico and Latin America, at the Estadio Azteca, and the seventh-largest association football-specific stadium in the world.
As club America has been one of the most successful and popular clubs in the country, it has also been a long-standing rivalry with Guadalajara. Also, the club has never been relegated to the second division. Matches between the club America and Guadalajara are known to be El Super Clasico and is hence considered to be the biggest rivalry in Mexico as one of the biggest game in the world. Besides, America also played the local derbies against Club Universidad Nacional and Cruz Azul.

The club has been able to win the thirteen league titles, along with the record of six Copa Mexico titles, and six Campeon de Campeones cups. Also, competing in international competitions, America has ten FIFA recognized club trophies, the most a club from the CONCACAF region. Moreover, it has maintained to keep a record of winning one CONCACAF Giants Cup, two Copa Interamericana cups, and seven CONCACAF Champions Cup/ Champions League titles.
America’s home games are played at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, which was designed by Mexican architect Pedro Ramirez Vazquez. Besides the club also shares the stadium since its inauguration with the Mexico national football team. Also, the stadium was used by other clubs at their home games like Cruz Azul, Atletico Espanol, Universidad Nacional, Atlante, and Necaxa. Moreover, the stadium has also hosted many programs like Summer Olympics in 1968, FIFA World Cup in 1970, Pan American Games in 1975, FIFA World Youth Championship in 1983, FIFA Interamericana, 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and many more.
