Byu Football

The BYU Cougars football team is the Brigham Young University (BYU) representation of the college football program. To clarify, it is a private university owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Furthermore, It is located in Provo, Utah. Since 1922, the Cougars began collegiate football competition. Furthermore, they are the winners of 23 conference championships and one national championship that was held in 1984. In addition, the team has also competed in several different athletic conferences, however, they started competing as Independent since the 1st of July, 2011.

Furthermore, the BYU football team plays home games at the LaVell Edwards Stadium named after legendary head coach LaVell Edwards. Firstly, the stadium has a total of 63,470-seats. The team is the proud winner of 19 conference championships, in addition to seven bowl games, and one national championship (1984) under coach LaVell Edwards. Furthermore, he is regarded as the most successful coach in BYU program history.
