Crystal Palace Football Club

Crystal Palace Football Club is a Selhurst, South London based English professional football club. The team competes in the Premier League, which is the highest level of English football. The team played their home games at the FA Cup Final stadium situated inside the historic Crystal Palace grounds. The club was forced to leave the Palace due to the outbreak of the First World War in 1915 and played at Herne Hill Velodrome and the Nest until 1924. They moved to their current home at Selhurst Park after 1924.

The club’s traditional kit colours were originally claret and blue, but they decided to change to the red and blue vertical stripes in 1973 which is worn to date.
