Firstly, Deion attended North Fort Myers High School, located in Florida. During his school, he played football, basketball, as well as baseball. Moreover, he became on the list of the Florida High School Association All-Century List in  1985.

Deion started his professional career in 1989, in baseball. Firstly, the New York Yankees selected him, however, later he played for the Atlanta Braves. During the season, he hit a major league run. Later, in the 1991 MLB season, against the match with the Pittsburgh Pirates, he hit a three-run homer. Likewise, his 1992 season went outstanding, hitting 304 for the team, and scoring 14 triplets, in 97 matches. However, after the 1997 season, he took a break in baseball for three years.

Subsequently, in 2001, Deion returned to play for the Cincinnati Reds. Deion had been playing both football and baseball at the same time. So, he had to quit any sport. Thus, he quit baseball in 2001.

Apart from baseball, he started his career in football, after the Atlanta Falcons selected him in the 1989 NFL Draft, and he played till 1993, with the team. During his season with the Falcons, he received 24 passes, returning three for touchdowns, and the end zones ten times along with three defensives. Later, the San  Francisco 49ers signed him for the 1993-94 season. The season became his career-high record, with 6 interceptions, 303 yards, as well as 3 touchdowns.

Likewise, for the season 1995, the Dallas Cowboys signed a contract with him for seven years, worth $35 million. Moreover, he led the team to win the title of their third Super Bowl in Super Bowl XXX. Later, in 2004, he played with the Baltimore Ravens. In total, he made the record of an interception return touchdown, in the Buffalo Bills. He there played for two seasons and retired in 2006.

After his retirement, he became an analyst for the NFL Network.
