Who is Eli Manning?

Eli Manning is an American football quarterback of the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants. He was born on January 3, 1981, in New Orleans, Louisiana, US. Eli was born to Archie Manning, and his wife Olivia Williams Manning, with the zodiac sign Capricorn. He grew up with his two siblings. Eli holds an American nationality. Also, with a height of 6 feet 4 inches, and weigh about 99 kg, he has been able to maintain his body fit and healthy.

Education

Eli first enrolled in Isidore Newman School, in his hometown, Later, he attended Ole Miss College. In his school days, he played basketball and football for the Greenies. Eli was selected by the San Diego Chargers, during the 2004 NFL draft, as the number one overall pick. However, he was soon traded by the New York Giants, as he did had no wish in playing with the San Diego Chargers. With the Giants, he signed a contract for six years. Though the first season with the Giants did not go well. However, the next season with them led the victory with a 2-0 record against the Saints and the Cardinals. Also, he was named the starter.

Moreover, Eli lead the team in 2007 entered the SuperBowl XLII. They then played with the New England Patriots. Giants gained the victory in the game. Moreover, he was named the “Most Valuable Player”. Also, he along with his brother was the first to win Super Bowl MVPs. The next year, he had an average performance. Later, in 2009, he improved his performance. He ended up with 4021 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, 62.3 completion percentage rating.

Likewise, in 2010, he played well. However, though the Giants defeated the Washington Redskins, they failed to enter the SuperBowl. However, they played back and were into the SuperBowl XLVI in the next year. They gained a victory, defeating the Patriots with score 21-17.

Eli was remarkably progressing over the next seasons. At the end of 2016 season, in total, he completed with 48214 yards with 32 touchdowns.

Awards and Achievements

Eli has earned many achievements. He has been honored by many awards. In 2001 and 2003, he got “Conerly Trophy” for Best College Football Player. Likewise, in 2003, he won Maxwell Award for the “Country’s best all-around player”. Furthermore, he became the “Southeastern Conference Player of the Year”. In 2017, he became “Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year”.
