N’Keal was born in Toronto, Canada, but moved to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He lived with his grandmother in the Phoenix metro area. N’Keal tried several sports as a kid but liked football the most. He used to play football, soccer, and basketball as a kid. Although his grandmother wanted him to choose a less dangerous sport, she agreed to let him select football anyway. He earned five-star recruiting honors from Rivals.com and other drafting services while playing for college. He attended Marcos de Niza High School in Tempe but later transferred to Chandler High School, where he played high school football. He attended Arizona State University and played football there too.

He started the 2016 opening game against Northern Arizona University. N’Keal is the ninth true freshman to start a season opener in the school’s history.
