He then featured on Naughty Boy’s single ‘La La La’ which also became a hit and ranked at number 1 on the UK Single Chart. In 2014, Sam released his first EP named ‘Nirvana’ which also include Sam’s acoustic solo version of ‘Latch’ and three other tracks ‘Safe With Me,’ ‘Nirvana,’ and ‘I’ve Told You.’ Thereafter, on 26 May, he released his studio album through Capitol Records named ‘In the Lonely Hour.’ His first single ‘Lay Me Down’ and the second single of the album ‘Money on My Mind’ released in February 2013 and February 2014 respectively. The album was a huge success and reached number one in the UK Albums Chart and number two at Billboard 200.
The same year in the spring, he also went on his first American tour with his huge repertoire of new and old hits.
