Bernie Kopell, an American character actor, was born on June 21, 1993, in Brooklyn, New York, U.S. Daughter of AI Bernard Kopell and his wife Pauline Taran, holds the nationality American. He has the height of an exact 6 feet and was born with the birth sign Cancer.

Career

Completing his schooling in Erasmus High School in Brooklyn, Kopell attended the university “New York University”. He is a graduate of fine arts of 1995 majoring in dramatic arts. After his graduation, he served on board the USS Iowa (BB-61) from 1956-1957 and then served as a librarian at Naval Air Station, Norfolk, Virginia. Kopell got a chance to travel some South American countries, Spain, Greece, Europe as well as the Middle East in Turkey during his time on the USS Iowa. He has also taught the GED to other military personnel.

After finishing up his active duty, Kopell moved to Los Angeles, he first there drove a taxi and tried to sell Kirby vacuum cleaners to make ends meet before he ended up to have his minor role in “The Brighter Day” which was a daytime show aired on CBS. Later, he made his appearance in “My Favorite Martian”, and “The Jack Benny Program”. Kopell has worked in several TV series in the 1960s and early 1970s, mainly sitcoms that include “Ripcord”, “The Jack Benny Program”, “The Streets of San Francisco”, “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”.
