Who is Bill Gates?
Bill Gates is an American business magnate. Furthermore, he is an investor, philanthropist, author, and humanitarian. He is also the founder of the Microsoft Corporation. Gates held the positions of chairman, CEO and chief software architect during his career at Microsoft. He was also the largest individual shareholder until May of 2014.

Early Life of Bill Gates
He was born on the 28th of October, 1955 in Seattle, Washington, U.S. Gates is the son of William H. Gates Sr. and Mary Maxwell Gates. He has ancestors of English, German and Irish/ Scottish descent. His father was a prominent lawyer. Furthermore, his mother served on the board of directors for First Interstate BancSystem as well as the United Way of America. The maternal grandfather of Gates is J. W. Maxwell, who is a national bank president. He wrote his first computer program on BASIC. He implemented tic-tac-toe. This program allowed users to play games against the computer.
Career
Gates launched Microsoft with Paul Allen in 1975. Later, it went on to become the world’s largest personal computer software company. Later, Gates announced that he would work only part-time at Microsoft. He then went to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and worked full-time there.
The foundation is a private charitable foundation that he and his wife, Melinda Gates, established in 2000. He transferred his duties to Ray Ozzie and Craig Mundie gradually. He stepped down as chairman in February of 2014. Furthermore, he assumed a new post as a technology adviser and supported the newly appointed CEO named Satya Nadella.
Gates is recognized as one of the best-known entrepreneurs of the personal computer revolution. Although he has been criticized for his business tactics, the opinion has been upheld by various court hearings.

Gates married Melinda French on the 1st of January, 1994. The couple has three children together.
