Brittany whose birth name was Brittany Anne Murphy-Monjack was born in Atlanta, Georgia, United States on November 10, 1997. She was a daughter to mother, Sharon Kathleen Murphy, and to father, Angelo Joseph Bertolotti. Her parents got divorced when she was only two years old. As she was raised by a single mother, she has not considered her father’s name in her birth certificate as well. She was the little sister to two older half-brothers and an older sister to a younger half-sister.
Early Life
Murphy grew an interest in acting as a young girl. Since her mother already knew about interest in the entertainment industry, she was supportive throughout her journey. She attended Edison High School. In 1991, her mother also took her to Los Angeles so that she could pursue her dream career in acting. She also starred a supporting role in the American sitcom “Drexell’s Class” from 1991 to 1991. However, the actress graduated from John Burroughs High School in Burbank, California.

In 1995, Brittany starred her first important role on the big screen in the romantic comedy film “Clueless” based on the novel “Emma” by Jane Austen. Her first job in Hollywood was in the series “Drexell’s Class. She also appeared in the short-lived spinoff “Almost Home. She has made many guest appearances in television series including “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose,” “Blossom,” “SeaQuest 2032,” “Murder One” and “Frasier. Murphy made her Broadway debut in the “A View from the Bridge” as Catherine in 1997. Eventually, she appeared in several films including “Freeway” in 1996, “Bongwater” in 1997, “The Prophecy” in 1998, and “Zack and Reba” in 1998. She did an important role in the drama film “Girl, Interrupted” in 1999 and also next made her appearance in the mystery crime film “Trixie.”

The actress died of pneumonia along with secondary factors of iron deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication. Her funeral and burial were done at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills on December 24, 2009. Sadly, her husband was also found dead at their Hollywood Hills residence on the 23rd of May, 2010, with the same cause.
