Charlie Hunnam is a popular English actor who is best known for his role in the drama series ‘Queer as Folk’ as Nathan Maloney. He has an interesting story about how he came in this field. When he was goofing around at a shoe store while buying shoes for his brother on Christmas Eve he met a producer who offered him a role in the television series ‘Byker Grove.’ He was just seventeen when he did this series in 1998. He became more famous and came in limelight when he was cast in the FX series ‘Sons of Anarchy’ where he played Jackson Teller. For this role, he has been honoured with prestigious awards.

Charlie Hunnam was born on April 10, 1980, in Newcastle, England. He was born to father William ‘Billy’ Hunnam and to mother Jane Bell. His father was a gangster and scrap metal merchant while his mother was a ballet dancer who owned a gift shop. He was the second biological son of the couple and has an elder brother and two younger step-brothers. He is currently 40 years old with Aries sun sign.

Charlie Hunnam started his acting career in a TV series ‘Byker Grove’ when he was seventeen in 1998. He appeared as Jason in three episodes. The next year he was seen in ‘Queer as Folk’ as Nathan Maloney, which revolved around the life of a homosexual teenager. This series helped him to gained popularity as he played one of the challenging roles which were beautifully portrayed. The show was largely appreciated and recorded highest ratings at the time.

Following this, he played a role in the British-made teen series ‘Microsoap’ the same year. Then in 2000, he played a recurring role in the short-lived teen drama ‘Young Americans’ for the WB Television Network. Likewise, in 2001 he played ‘Undeclared’ for the Fox series where he played as an English drama student Lloyd Haythe.  Additionally, for a few years, he took a break from TV series and again returned in 2008 in the crime drama television series created by Kurth Sutter named ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ as Jackson. Charlie Hunnam made his big-screen debut, starring as Daz in the film ‘Whatever happened to Harold Smith?’ which released in 1999. In 2002, he made his American film debut in thriller film ‘Abandon’ in which he was cast to play the role of Embry Larkin who is the missing boyfriend of a college student, played by Katie Holmes. In the movie, Larkin’s case is reopened two years later by a police detective who looks into a series of other missing cases. Likewise in the same year, he was cast to play the role of the protagonist in the movie ‘Nicholas Nickelby’ which was based on Charles Dickens novel. In the movie, he played the role of a 19th-century man whose life turns upside down after the tragic death of his father.
