Ozzy started his career joining up with Geezer Butler in 1967 forming a band, Rare Breed. Firstly, they together performed two songs. Then, they joined with the guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Bill Ward. They formed another band named black Sabbath in August 1969. The band released their first album in February 1970, named “Blac Sabbath”. The album became a success commercially, however, got negative feedback from the critics.

The band then released their second album, “Paranoid” in September 1970. Besides, “Iron Man” and “Paranoid” of the album became the signature song of the band. Likewise, in 1971, they released a third album, “Master of Reality”. The album was able to reach the top ten in both the US and UK. Meanwhile, in 1972, they released the album “Black Sabbath Vol. 4”. In the album, they experimented using many sensitive approaches to the music.

In 1973, they released “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath”, their fifth album, adding more musical instruments. The album gained many good reviews from the critics.
