Ozzy was born to Jack Osbourne and Lillian Osbourne as John Michael Osbourne. He was born with the birth sign of Sagittarius. He is grown up with his four siblings; Gillian, Iris, Jean, Paul, and Tony. With the height of 5 feet 10 inches, he has been able to maintain his body fit. He holds British nationality.

Early Life

In his childhood, he suffered from many learning disabilities like attention deficit disorder and dyslexia. However, he went to school, and later left when he was 15 years old. Then, he searched for jobs and worked in menial jobs like plumber, laborer, and apprentice toolmaker. Also, he went to Winson Green Prison for attempting a burglary. During the time, his father did not pay to make him out as he wanted to teach him a lesson.

Career

Ozzy started his career joining up with Geezer Butler in 1967 forming a band, Rare Breed. Firstly, they together performed two songs. Then, they joined with the guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Bill Ward. They formed another band named black Sabbath in August 1969. The band released their first album in February 1970, named “Blac Sabbath”. The album became a success commercially, however, got negative feedback from the critics.

The band then released their second album, “Paranoid” in September 1970. Besides, “Iron Man” and “Paranoid” of the album became the signature song of the band. Likewise, in 1971, they released a third album, “Master of Reality”. The album was able to reach the top ten in both the US and UK. Meanwhile, in 1972, they released the album “Black Sabbath Vol. 4”. In the album, they experimented using many sensitive approaches to the music.

In 1973, they released “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath”, their fifth album, adding more musical instruments. The album gained many good reviews from the critics. Likewise, then, they released several albums like “Sabotage”, “Technical Ecstasy” and”Never Say Die”. During the time, Ozzy consumed drugs which became a serious issue as he was out of the band.

In 1983, he wrote and released his next album, “Bark at the Moon”. Moreover, it became certified Gold in the US. Then he released other albums like “The Ultimate Sun”, “No Rest for the Wicked”. Also, he released “No More Tears”, and “Osmosis”. 

Furthermore, he along with his wife organized an annual festival tour, “Ozzfea”. In the event, many bands played numerous genres of music like alternative metal, hardcore punk, and gothic metal. Also, he and his wife along with kids have featured in the reality show, “The Osbournes”. The first episode was in 2002, and the last episode in March 2005.
