Scott, whose birth name is Scott Lee Peterson, was born in San Diego, California, on October 24, 1974. He is currently 47 years old. Scott is a son to father, Lee Arthur Peterson, who served as an owner of a crate-packaging company and to mother, Jacqueline Helen Lathum. He is the only child to his parents and has six half-siblings. He was raised in La Jolla.

Early Life

Scott used to play golf since his childhood. In 1990, when he got graduated from the University of San Diego High School, he was already one of the top junior golfers in the town. Furthermore, He had also earned a scholarship at Arizona State University through his golf skills. Then, he went on to attend Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California but was eventually transferred to study international business at California Polytechnic State University. However, he changed his goal and went on to major in agricultural business and completed in BS degree in 1998.

Relationship with Laci Peterson

Scott met Laci during his college days. Laci was a neighbor of one of his co-workers. They both got attracted to each other immediately and eventually started dating. Scott took Laci to deep-sea fishing on their first date. The couple started living together after their two years relationship.

Eventually, they married after Laci’s graduation in San Luis Obispo Country’s Avila Valley. After completing her education, she opened a sports bar named “The Shark,” but her parents didn’t support her as they thought it was a bad investment. Scott always kept her and went on to take certification for her too. Following their success, they bought a bungalow in Covena Avenue, near Lo Loma Park. They both worked hard aftermath as Scott became a West Coast representative in a Spanish fertilizer company.

Disappearance of Laci

The murderer was said to be in the extramarital affair after getting married to Laci. After Laci got seven months pregnant, Scott got into a romantic relationship with a massage therapist, Amber Frey, in 2002. As the murderer lied Frey to be single and lost his wife. After this, laci disappeared on December 24, 2002. Scott lied to the investigator that he was out fishing on his boat at the Berkeley Marina in Richmond, for which his in-laws and friends supported him.

Conviction and Trial

After a lot of inspections in April 2003, police found a late-term male baby with a partial female trunk without head, feet, and hand on Richmond’s Point Isabel Regional Shoreline. The police identified the body as Lacu and her child. Later, the police found him with blonde hair with an overstuffed car with survival kits and money.

The murderer charged with the first-degree murder of his wife and child on April 21, 2013. However, he didn’t plead guilty until the forensic found a single thread of hair as evidence. The FBI also found that he had been lying several times since Laci’s disappearance. Furthermore, Jury convicted him of murder of his wife and son on November 12, 2004.

Every evidence has portrayed him as a murderer. He has been in San Quentin State prison. The Supreme Court of California has convicted him for a death sentence.
