Who is Shane Gillis?
Shane Gillis is an American comedian, actor, and podcaster. He was born on December 12, 1988, in NewYork. Shane is best known for the stand-up comedian regular on Comedy Central’s Radios’ “The Bonfire”. Also, he became popular to perform on the sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live“, which where he was fired before making a debut. He was fired as his clips were released from his podcast of inflammatory racial slurs surfaced.
Shane holds an American nationality, and as per ethnicity, he is white. With the height of 6 feet (1.83 m), and weight about 82 kg (181 lbs), Shane has been able to maintain his body fit and healthy, with the body measurement 44-36-38 inches. Also, his brown eyes and brown hair colour makes his look even more attractive.
Education
Shane Gills first attended Trinity High School in nearby Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. He graduated from there in 2006. Moreover, he played football as an offensive tackle. Later, after he attended the United States Military Academy, he recruited to play football. But, he left before the completion of the necessary training. Shane then enrolled in Temple University in Philadelphia and obtained a degree in history.

In 2012, he started as a comedian, working in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He then went to Philadelphia. Later, in 2015, he ranked third as the annual tournament “Philly’s Phunniest” at Helium Comedy Club. Also, Shane and Matt McCusker developed the stand-up format “Digital Graffiti”. Moreover, Shane added the roasted videos are delightful to watch, whatever be the comics either love or hate. Likewise, in 2016, Shane and Matt McCusker started the podcast “The Bonfire with Big Jay Oakerson and Dan Soder”. Also, he began a weekly show named “A Fair One”.
Furthermore, in 2019, Gills was named as an “Up Next” comedian by Comedy Central. Also, he was known as the “New Face” at the comedy festival “Just for Laughs”. In an ongoing interview with Gills, he was interrupted by Robert Kelly, a stand-up comedy. He said, “You’re very funny, dude … I mean, I wanted to hate it.”
Moreover, an interviewer Andrew Limbong described him with kind words. Eventually, Shane also worked as a director. His movie includes “Bad Deal”. This was a short film about a drug deal, which played at the Sidewalk Film Festival.

However, he came onto controversy later on the same day, as his clips of an episode of Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast of 2018 was released. In the clip, Shane has made racist and mocking remarks on the Chinese people. Shane then posted a tweet that he was just a comedian pushing boundaries. He even added if his last 10 years of videos will be collected, then there may be found lots of bad misses. This caused him to be out of the cast in the show.
