Abigale “Abby” Lee Miller is an American Dance instructor born on the 21st of September, 1965 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the U.S to Maryen Lorrain and George L. Miller. She is also a choreographer and a reality television personality. Abby is the director and owner of Reign Dance Productions at present. She was also the founder of The Abby Lee Dance Company which was seen on the first seven shows of the series “Dance Moms”. Abigale pleaded guilty to felony bankruptcy fraud in June 2016 and was sentenced to one year and a day in federal prison in May of 2017 but released early. She is currently filming for the Dance Moms.
Miller started her television career in 2011, in the Lifetime reality television show Dance Moms and appeared for a total of seven shows till February of 2017.

Miller filed for bankruptcy and owed more than $400,000 in back taxes in December of 2010. Then she was hired for Dance Moms which improved her financial condition. She worked with JoJo Siwa, Nia Sioux, Holly Frazier, and other actors. She later started to encounter various legal problems in 2014 as she was charged with assault by one of the dancers in Dance Moms. An emotional distress lawsuit was also filed against Miller by Paige Hyland which dropped later.
Miller was indicted for fraud on the 13th of October, 2015, for creating a secret bank account to hide income from masterclasses, merchandise sales, and TV deals in 2012-2013. She was indicted with bankruptcy fraud, false bankruptcy declarations, and concealment of bankruptcy assets in hiding some $755,000. Miller pleaded not guilty in November 2015 and the case was delayed a fifth time. She later pleaded guilty and had to spend a year and a day in prison.
Miller was transferred to a Long Beach, California halfway house on the 27th of March, 2018, to complete her sentence. She was later released and hospitalized on the 25th of May due to a subsequently-discovered illness.

Miller is single and has not married. Her mother died in 2014. Miller was diagnosed with a type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer known as Burkitt lymphoma after she did spinal surgery. She spent the 2018 year in rehabilitation learning how to walk.
Abby Lee Miller unexpectedly left the Dance Months during the August 19 episode for her friend. Abby later explained that her good friend Diana Kaz’s heart had stopped and was placed in a medically induced coma.
