Alek Skarlatos, a former American Army National Guard, was born on October 10, 1992, in Castro Valley, California. Born as the son of Emanuel Skarlatos and his wife Heidi Hansen, he is grown up with his two siblings’ brothers. A 25-year-old man emerged out of the toilet, armed with a Luger pistol, a box knife, AKM assault rifle and ammunition for the rifle in a rucksack. Then the two other people tried to stop the attacker. One of them snatched a rifle from him and got shot. However, Alek’s friend attacked the attacker before the assailant slashed him. They saved the lives of many people then. The next day, Alek and his friend became on the headline for their heroic works. Also, US President Barack Obama called the three Americans for thanking them.

After the days of the incident, Alek got a call as a competitor in the “Dancing with the Stars” season 21. With his partner Lindsay Arnold, he reached the finals and finished becoming third. Moreover, Alek then made his appearance in the film “The 15:17 to Paris”, based on the 2015 Thalys train attack which was directed by Clint Eastwood.
