Dancing with the stars

Dancing with the Stars is an American television series that shows the processes of a dance competition. The series premiered on the 1st of June, 2005, on a tv channel named ABC. Dancing with the stars in the US version of the UK series titled “Strictly Come Dancing”. The twenty-seventh season of the series premiered on the 24th of September, 2018, and its spin-off which was titled “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” premiered on the 7th of October, 2018. Dancing with the Stars is revealed to return in the fall of 2019 although it did not premiere for a spring season.

Celebrities are paired up with the professional dancer in this show and the couples perform predetermined dances to get judges’ points as well as the audience votes. Elimination is based on the judges’ points and audience votes combined. This happens until only a champion dance pair remains.

Hosts

The host of the program has been Tom Bergeron since the premiere of the show in 2005. He was co-hosted by Lisa Canning in season 1 and replaced by Samantha Harris for season 2-9. She was later again replaced by Brooke Burke-Charvet for seasons 10-17. Erin Andrews was the co-host for the program in 2014.

Goodman was absent for much of season 19, all of season 21, and much of season 23 and Julianne Hough was added as a full-time judge on the panel for three seasons after having to be a guest judge in the previous two seasons but did not return for season 22.
