Brian Dozier is an American professional baseball second baseman of the MLB (Major League Baseball) for the Washington Nationals. He was born on May 15, 1987, in Fulton, Mississippi. High School and College Career

Brian enrolled in playing basketball at his school, Itawamba Agricultural High School. Also, he became a local star. Moreover, he was named “Player of the Year”, and get select in the All-State for two years. From 2002 to 2005, he also played for the 49ers

Later, Brian played college baseball from 2006 to 2009, while at the University of Southern Mississippi, for the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. Also, he got selected to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team and became the Freshman All-American. At Southern Miss, he had the record of .355 hits, 55 doubles, 16 home runs, 7 triples, along with 152 runs batted in. In 2009, he went to the College World Series as a member of the Southern Miss team. In 2006, he played for the Bethesda Big Train.

Minnesota Twins

Brian was selected by the Minnesota Twins for the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. In 2011, he became the Twins Minor League player. Likewise, in 2012, he was invited to spring training.

Brian hit his first career Major League home run. In 2012, he had th[e record of .234/.271/.332 batting, along with 6 home runs in 316 at-bats. Similarly, he batted .244/.312/.414 in 2013. Furthermore, in 2014, American League captain selected him to participate in the 2014 Home Run Derby. In the Twins history, h became the first-second baseman. 

In the 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, he was selected as a roster. He completed the season, with .236/.307/.444 batting along with 28 home runs. Besides, Brian became the finalists for the 2015 American League Second Baseman Rawlings Gold Glove Award. Likewise, on September 12, 2016, Brian was named as the first American League second baseman, hitting 40 home runs with a 3rd inning shot. In total, he completed the season with 42 home runs.
