Daniel Kaluuya is an English professional actor who had started his career in 2006 with an appearance as a teenager in improvisational theatre. He is best known for his breakthrough performance as the leading character, Chris Washington, in the 2017 hit film “Get Out.” He was nominated at all the major award ceremonies and even won the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2018 for his role in the film.

Kaluuya started writing his first play at the age of nine, after which he began performing improvisational theatre. Eventually, as a child, he also started acting at his local Anna Scher Theatre School and WAC Arts. He was then ventured in the BBC’s controversial drama, “Shoot the Messenger.” Eventually, after that, he got his one of the leading role in his career joined the original cast of “Skins” as Posh Kenneth. Then he followed his success by appearing as a guest star in much popular television series, including “Silent Witness,” “Planet of the Dead,” and “Lewis.” Then, he went on to land in the sketch show “That Mitchell and Webb Look” and also appeared in “Harry and Paul.” He also worked as a voice actor and voiced a character in the BBC Radio 4 sitcom “Sneakiepeaks.”

The professional actor got an opportunity to become a regular cast member in the ITV comedy “F.M.” in 2009. Screen International Magazine selected him out as a U.K. Star of Tomorrow in their annual report at the end of the same year. The following year, he got the lead role in “Sucker Punch” at the Royal Court Theatre in London. Then he continued his career and portrayed Michael “Tea Leaf” Fry in the dark BBC comedy film “Psychoville” from 2009 to 2011.
