High School and College Career of Dion Waiters
Dion enrolled in Bartram High School, and later South Philadelphia High School. Later, he enrolled in South Kent School and then he started playing basketball at Life Center Academy for his junior and senior years.
Freshman Season
Dion averaged 6.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game during his freshman season.
Sophomore Season
During his sophomore season, he averaged 12.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Moreover, he was named the Big East Sixth Man of the year. Also, he gained third-team All-Big East honors and got select to the All-Big East Tournament team.

Cleveland Cavaliers (2012-2015)
The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Dion for the NBA for selection of the 2012 season. On January 14, 2013, Dion gave his career the highest 33 points. Moreover, he got select to play during the 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend in the Rising Stars Challenge. After the rookie season, he was remarked as the fourth-best overall rookie. Also, he got the fifth rank in the NBA Rookie of the Year.
On February 14, 2014, Dion played in the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge and completed with 31 points and 7 assists.
Oklahoma City Thunder (2015-2016)
Oklahoma City Thunder traded Dion on January 5, 2015, from the Cavaliers. Dion had a weak performance in his first game with Thunder. However, he tied his career-high in the final game of the season with 33 points in 138-113 wins.
Dion played for the 2015-16 season during the first half, in two games. Later, he hit the season-high points with 25 in a 125-101 win, on November 10, 2015.
Eventually, on June 27, 2016, Thunder gave a certifying attempt to Dion to make him a closed free agent.
Miami Heat (2016-present)
Dion signed a contract with Miami Heat on July 26, 2016. He started a game with Heat on October 26. On November 26, he recorded 28 points in a 110-107 loss. Unfortunately, he suffered from a Pectineus tear and took a short break. Then, he returned on January 4, 2017, after missing 20 games. Eventually, on January 30, 2017, he was named as the Eastern Conference player of the Week.
Heat extended its contract with the Dion on July 7, 2017. Later, he tied his career-high points with 33 on October 30, 2017. Besides, on January 22, he had a successful surgery of the left ankle.
