James is the son of Gloria Marie James and Anthony McClelland. Her mother was a 16-year-old teenager when she gave birth to James and his father has an extensive criminal record. James attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School located in Akron, Ohio. He played basketball for his high school and national media touted him as a future NBA superstar.
Career
