Along with the other 50 people, on March 12, 2019, Lori and her husband were also charged for felony mail fraud and honest services mail fraud in an entrance exam cheating scandal. They both paid $500 thousand, as a donation to the Key Worldwide Foundation. The payment was for the belief that their daughters would enroll at the school’s women rowing team to the University of Southern California’s admission committee. However, reality had been different than their daughters had no plan to do so.
The couple became released after paying $1 million each as a bail. This also made the family paid in their professional life. Lori had been dropped from the Fuller House, and her daughter, Olive Jade lost her partnership with cosmetics firm Sephora, and sponsorships for her Youtube channel.
