An American professional baseball team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, is based in Los Angeles, California. As a member club of the National League (NL) West division, the Dodgers compete in Major League Baseball (MLB). The team was found in Brooklyn, New York in 1883, and later the team moved to Los Angeles before the 1958 season. The team before playing their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for four seasons and later, the team played their home games at Dodger Stadium since 1962.
The Dodgers have been able to achieve great achievements. As a franchise, they have won six titles of World Series, and 23 National League pennants. Moreover, for the Dodgers, winners of 11 NL MVP awards have played and won 13MVP awards; eight CY Young Award winners have also played for dodgers and won 12 Cy Young Awards. Besides, the team has owned 18 Rookie of the Year Awards, including four consecutive from 1979-82, and five consecutive from 1992-96.
