Michelle Yeoh’s full name is Michelle Yeoh Choo-Kheng. She was born on 6 August 1962 in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. Her parents were local Malaysian Chinese named Yeoh Kian Teik and Janet Yeoh. Likewise, her father was an MCA politician who died in 2014 while her mother worked as a lawyer. She grew alongside her two brothers Lam Hoe Yeoh and Robert Yeoh. Additionally, she is currently 58 years old with a Leo star sign.

Michelle Yeoh had an early interest in dance and ballet which led her to learn dance at the age of four. She also majored in ballet from the Royal Academy of Dance, London.
