Arizona Diamondbacks
AA Mobile BayBears called Parra on May 13, 2009. He then became the 100th player in the history of MLB to hit a home run in his first at-bat. Parra had a record of at least one RBI in his first five games. Moreover, he was named the NL Rookie of the month in May. In addition, he reached base in his first 17 games.
Later, in 2011, Parra broke had a record of batting .292 with 8 home runs along with 46 runs batted in. Eventually, he got the Gold Glove award in National League Left Fielder, on November 1, 2011. Likewise, in 2013, he gave five hits.
Milwaukee Brewers
The Diamondback traded Parra to the Milwaukee Brewers on July 31, 2014. They exchanged Parra with the minor leaguers Mitch Haniger and Anthony Banda. Eventually, Parra hit between Arizona and Milwaukee .261 with 9 home runs along with 40 RBI’s.
Baltimore Orioles
Milwaukee Brewers alternated Parra to Baltimore on July 31, 2015, for Zach Davies. Parra gave five hits on August 16, in a victory over the Oakland Athletics with 18-2.
Gerardo Parra with Colorado Rockies
Parra signed a contract of three years on January 19, 2016, with the Colorado Rockies. He played 102 games and gave a hit of just .253. However, in the following season, he hit his career-high with the average .309 and RBI’s 71. Later, he got suspend for four years. This was due to his involvement in a brawl.
The Rockies declined the option on Parra’s contract for the 2019 season, on October 30, 2018.
