Lonzo started playing basketball at the age of two. He played basketball with his brothers, who are also basketball players. He attended Chino Hills High School. Later, in 2015, he went to the University of California. During his University, he played for the UCLA Bruins.
During his junior year in 2014-15, he had the average record of 25 points, 9.1 assists, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Likewise, in his senior year, he led his team “Huskies” to win. In 2016, he joined “UCLA”, and scored 19 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds. Moreover, he led the team to win the championship. In addition, he received MVP of the “Wooden Legacy”. On June 22, for the 2017 NBA Draft, Los Angeles Lakers selected Lonzo. His performance went beyond the expectation in the “2017 NBA Summer League Tournament”. His averaged the score of 16.3 points, 9.3 assists, 7.7 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, and 2.5 steals, along with 2 triple-doubles. Meanwhile, on October 20, 2017, he scored his career-high with overall 29 points. Furthermore, he became the youngest player to get the 10 assists in a single game. Also, he was the youngest player to achieve a triple-double feat.
Sadly, for a long time, he had to be away from the game due to the sprained shoulder. Also, he missed the “Rising Star Challenge”. Later, on February 23, 2018, he scored 9 points, along with 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, playing against Dallas Mavericks.
