Bio
Candis Cayne was born on August 29, 1971, in Maui, Hawaii, U.S. She is the daughter of Gary McDaniel and Patricia Relles. Both of her parents were teachers at Haleakala Waldorf School. Candis spent her childhood with her twin brother named Dylan. Learning and enlightening have always been a strong motive of Candis and that’s why she learned classical dancing in Los Angeles. She completed her graduate studies at Baldwin High School of Maui in 1989. Later, after completing her graduation, Candis moved to New York City to work as an artist and choreographer.

Movies
After moving into New York City, she started her on-screen career by appearing in the 1995 documentary film ‘Wigstock: The Movie’. Continuously without any gap, Candis jumped to act on another British-American historical comedy movie named ‘Stonewall’. In this movie, she portrayed the character of Diva juxtaposed to Guillermo Díaz, Frederick Weller, and Duane Boutte. In 1995, Candis did a cameo role as herself in the movie titled To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar’. Here, she was shouldering with Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, John Leguizamo, and Chris Penn. Just a year after, in 1996, Candis appeared in Something Better’, followed by another movie ‘Drag Time’ in 1997. After continuous work and dedication, she got good roles in great movies including ‘Mob Queen’ (1998). Here, she played the character of the new girl on docks” ‘Glorice Kalsheim’.
