Charlie Kaufman is an American screenwriter, producer, director, novelist, and lyricist who has vigorously worked in the entertainment field since 1983. He is considered to be one of the most popular screenwriters of his time. Interested in writing art from his childhood, he eventually followed it and enrolled himself in the New York University’s film program.

Charlie Kaufman landed his debut writing in 2 episodes of ‘Get a Life’ in 1991. He then again became a writer for ‘The Edge’ in 1992 and ‘The Trouble with Larry’ in 1993, in which he was also a story editor. Likewise, he then ventured as a producer in ‘Misery Loves Company’ in 1995. The next year, he wrote the script for the sketch comedy TV show ‘The Dana Carvey Show’ for eight episodes.
