Early Career

He was born on the 21st of November, 1990, in Sundsvall, Sweden. Wallin started boxing from the age of 15. He won the Swedish amateur championship in 2008 for beginners. Boxing was banned in Sweden until 2007. Therefore, there were very few heavyweights available in the country. Wallin often fought with whoever and whenever to stay active. He defeated Frazer Clarke 32:11 in January of 2012, in a Sweden-Great Britain dual match in Uppsala. This qualified him for the 2012 European Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament in Trabzon, Turkey, in April. He has an amateur record of 34-12.

Wallin started his professional career at age 22. Torsten Schmitz trained him for six months in Berlin, Germany. Later, he moved to Copenhagen, Denmark, and met Joey Gamache. Joey trained Wallin and took him to New York.

Wallin defeated Adrian Granat and won the vacant Swedish and EBU European Union heavyweight titles in April of 2018. Before, he had a 19-0 record and also won the WBA Continental heavyweight title. Furthermore, he was a sparring partner for Anthony Joshua, Jarrell Miller, and Adam Kownacki.

Wallin fought Tyson Fury on the 14th of September, 2019, in Las Vegas. However, he lost by a unanimous decision of 118-110, 117-111, and 116-112. Wallin’s performance defied the odds despite the loss.
